1) Where can I find previous exams?

We provide access to old exams on this website. You can download the files in the section "Old exams".

2) Which requirements do I need for the master's program Materials Science?

It would be good if your previous studies covered topics of chemistry and physics. Any study program related to materials science should be an optimal preparation anyways. Additionally, the master's program is completely in English, so naturally, you need adequate speaking and writing skills.

3) Where can I find the Fachschaft?

The room of the Fachschaft is located at J3.143. If you cannot find anyone there, you can contact us via Email: fachschaft-material-science@lists.uni-paderborn.de

4) Who do I contact if I have any problems with my studies?

You can either contact us or write an Email to materials@upb.de (for M.Sc. Materials Science). This Email is addressed to Prof. Grundmeier, Prof. Lindner and Dr. Hoischen. Prof. Grundmeier and Prof. Lindner are the founders of the master's program and Dr. Hoischen is our study adviser. They might help you more than the Fachschaft if your questions are more in-depth.

5) What do I do if I have problems with exams (for example forgetting to register for an exam)?

The "Zentrale Pruefungssekretariat" (central exam office) is your contact for problems with your exams and achievements. For Materials Science, you must contact Karin Schäfer (zps.nw1@zv.upb.de). But please do not annoy her with any bagatelle!

6) Where can I find a study plan and the examination regulation?

Please have a look in section "Links". In the examination regulation, you can find an exemplary study plan and all the modules/lectures are listed there, too.

7) How can I activate my Zoom licence?
