Assignments
Assignments will typically be released Tuesdays after class, and be due a week later on Tuesday before the start of class. The instructions for accessing and submitting assignments are below:
- 1 Go to https://funda.cs.upb.de.
- 2 You can log in using your IMT username and password (if you can't, tell jan 'dot' bobolz 'at' upb 'dot' de your IMT username).
- 3 When logged in, in the "assignments" tab, you can fetch the current homework assignments, which copies the assignments to your personal directory structure. The weekly assignments consist of several .ipynb notebook files that contain exercises. You add the answers directly into the notebook.
- 4 You can work on the assignment within jupyter. You can use LaTeX formulas in your answers and you can format your solutions using markdown. For programming exercises, you can write, execute and test python code directly within the notebook.
- 5 There is a special file "group.ipynb" into which you must add the IMT usernames of your submission group (comma separated, including the submitting user's name). You can submit in groups of at most four students.
- 6 When it's time to submit your solutions to us (so that we can grade them), go to the "assignments" tab again to submit your assignment. The contents of your local assignment directory are copied to our grading environment. If you submit multiple times, the latest submission counts. Please don't submit after the deadline (we would have to count that as a late submission).
- 7 After grading, you will get feedback on your solutions. These appear in the "feedback" folder in jupyter as soon as they're ready. We will not notify you when new feedback is available.
- 8 If there are any problems, contact jan 'dot' bobolz 'at' upb 'dot' de.
