​This course provides basic knowledge and skills in descriptive and inferential statistics.

Topics covered in the course include:

  • Data visualisation
  • Descriptive statistics
  • Probability
  • Probability distributions
  • Estimation and confidence intervals
  • Hypothesis testing

    • The course begins in the second week of the lecture period and is held regularly throughout the semester (in person). A Q&A session takes place in the final week of lectures. The module concludes with a written examination during the designated exam period following the lecture period.
