Basic knowledge of game theory, microeconomics and industrial organization is beneficial.

Inhalte (short description):
This module introduces the fundamental methods used in microeconomics, with a particular focus on game theory and industrial organization. Students will be provided with links to videos, in which various topics of game theory and industrial organization have been thoroughly explained and sample questions have been solved. In addition to these videos, parts of the course's textbooks will be provided to further deepen the concepts of the course. During the first weeks of the semester, an introductory meeting will be held where organizational issues will be discussed. In the last month of the lecture period, there will be a Q&A session where questions about the course and information about the exam will be discussed and shared. The module concludes with a final examination in the designated exam phase after the lecture period.

Inhalte (short description):

This module introduces the fundamental methods used in microeconomics, with a particular focus on game theory and industrial organization. Students will be provided with links to videos, in which various topics of game theory and industrial organization have been thoroughly explained and sample questions have been solved. In addition to these videos, parts of the course's textbooks will be provided to further deepen the concepts of the course.

Studierende... Understand the fundamentals of industrial economics and the key models used in this field. Analyze monopolistic and oligopolistic markets, focusing on price and quantity competition. Describe and interpret the behavior of monopolists in terms of price and quantity setting. Comprehend the essential models of game theory and analyze both strategic and extensive form games. Understand and apply the concepts of Nash equilibria in both pure and mixed strategies. Analyze both one-shot and repeated games effectively.
