Inhalte (short description):
The Start-up Case Study and Work Experience is intended to provide students the opportunity to apply and transfer the knowledge and skills acquired during their course of study  in a professional field or area of activity relevant to their course of study. It aims to help students establish professional contacts, gain career insights, and prepare for their future occupation.  The Start-up Case Study and Work Experience includes a seminar and coaching component , which serves to prepare and mentor the students throughout the entire program and to inform them about the associated requirements and expectations. The aim is to enable students to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies. Furthermore, the seminar and coaching offer the opportunity to exchange and reflect on the individual experiences gained, as well as to classify, evaluate and generalize them with regard to the study program’s objectives and future professional development opportunities.

By preparing and completing the Start-up Case Study and Work Experience, students acquire knowledge about the success and failure factors related to the establishment and growth of a start-up. As part of the case study, students analyze the history of the start-up and prepare it in a case study report. The Start-up Case Study and Work Experience thus teaches practical start-up skills and contacts with start-ups. The experience gained in this way serves to acquire fundamental action competencies and thus forms the basis for a well-founded orientation in the future professional field.

Before the start of the internship, the Chair of Entrepreneurship suggests garage33 start-ups that are interested in participating in the program. Students are then matched with the respective garage33 start-ups to the extent possible, considering their interests. The design of the case study and work experience takes place through a bilateral arrangement  between the individual student and the garage33 start-up, with moderation by the Chair of Entrepreneurship.
