The labor market is an important part of everyone's life. In this course, we explore the ideas economists use to understand how labor markets work. We focus on the main theoretical models as well as on the empirical evidence. In addition, we study the role of labor market institutions and public policy in affecting wage and employment.

Studierende erlangen fachlichen Kenntnisse, Fähigkeiten und Methoden sowie notwendige Schlüsselqualifikationen, sodass sie zu wissenschaftlicher Arbeit und Kommunikation, zur kritischen Einordnung der wissenschaftlichen

Erkenntnisse und zu verantwortlichem Handeln befähigt werden. Die erzielten forschungsorientierten Lernergebnisse und Kompetenzen müssen dabei im Umfang denen eines im Studienabschnitt vergleichbaren 10 ECTS Moduls des Departments Economics der Fakultät für Wirtschaftswissenschaften vergleichbar sein.
