Empfohlene Voraussetzungen (prerequisites):

​The prerequisite is a start-up project of your own that is being supervised by TECUP/ garage33. Or a start-up idea that is approved by the TECUP/ garage33 coaches before the module starts. Before applying it is required to submit the confirming by a TECUP​/ garage33 coach by a certificate.
Previous participation in the course “Lean Start-up" is desirable but not necessary.​


Inhalte (short description):

​​​​The course takes place in cooperation with the TH OWL (Prof. Dr. Andreas Welling, Prof. Dr. Daniel Hunold; Tosca Albrecht​) and start-up coaches (TECUP/garage33).
The course includes the following contents:
- Business model development and evaluation
- Analysis and evaluation of innovative business models
- Business model canvas
- Market positioning and market entry strategy
- Negotiation techniques, in particular the Harvard concept
- Motivating and convincing employees
- Convincing B2C and B2B customers
- Elevator pitch
- Investor pitches​

​… will be able to develop, evaluate and iterate a business model according to the lean start-up method and to pitch to potential customers, partners and investors. They learn skills to develop, evaluate and validate innovative business ideas. ​

​… are familiar with various presentation techniques (e.g. PowerPoint, flipchart, metaplan wall), their advantages and disadvantages and are able to prepare a presentation interactively. They use the Business Model Canvas to record business models, discuss suitable market positioning and identify the optimal market entry and growth strategy.​

​… are familiar with the basics of communication psychology models and thus strengthen their communication skills. They are able to structure valid arguments, engage in critical discussions, and negotiate methodically and deliberately using the negotiation technique of the Harvard concept.​

​The language of the course is English and the number of participants is restricted to 10 students. Please check the lists provided by the faculty online.​

​The projects are expected to be submitted at the end of the semester.
