Empfohlene Voraussetzungen (prerequisites):

​A basic knowledge of econometrics (the linear regression model as e.g. covered in W2474 Introduction to Econometrics (Bachelor) is assumed. Basic knowledge in the foundations of Environmental Economics e.g. covered in M.184.3420 is an advantage.​

Inhalte (short description):
This seminar is designed to provide an introduction into the assessment of different sustainability initiatives and programs from an economic point of view. Students will present and discuss selected examples where different impact evaluation methods have been used to understand the factors that drive individual behavior and to evaluate whether and why policy interventions work.

As part of the teaching program within the Center for Sustainable Economy, the seminar will be augmented with a group of students supervised by Prof. Dr. Simon Trang to add an information systems perspective on current challenges in sustainability issues.
