Inhalte (short description):

The modules “International Collaborative Studies" (M.184.3413 and M.184.3414) offer students the opportunity to participate in selected special events like international workshops and/or summer schools organized at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. Credits and grading are based on associated assignments, like a presentation and/or a seminar paper. The assignments will be prepared in joint meetings preceding the final event, finalized by students, and eventually presented at the given event. In case of limited places at the event itself, presentations may take place in group or at the seminar. The papers may have joint topics, but will have to be finalized individually.

The modules M.184.3413 (5 ECTS) and M.184.3414 (10 ECTS) are following the same concept but differ in their workload and associated event(s).

In summer semester 2022, the modules allow participation in the 10th International Students Forum (ISF) and the associated Summer School, offered by the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. The ISF will take place August 18-20, 2022, the Summer School August 22-27, 2022. Participating universities are Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Ewha Womans University (Korea), Oita University (Japan), Shenzhen University (People's Republic of China), Vietnam National University (Vietnam), Paderborn University (Germany), and possibly further guests. Each university will send a delegation of students.  A detailed description of the events is available at the Faculty's webpage at "go.upb.de/isf". Module M.184.3413 (5 ECTS) includes participation in the ISF only; module M.184.3414 (10 ECTS) participation in the ISF and the associated Summer School. The ISF topic will be “Globalization, Innovation, and Sustainability: Past, Present, and Future “. The topic of the Summer School is “Germany and the European Union within an Integrated World".

The module is targeting students in their second or higher year of bachelor studies. Participation by first year students is fine as well, given the state of studies allows to select profile phase modules. To register for the module, please send a short motivation letter (one paragraph) and a copy of your current transcript of records by e-mail to ingrid.kelsey@uni-paderborn.de. Participation and selection results will be announced within the official registration phase (Revisionsphase).
