Inhalte (short description):

The module covers theories of international finance and international macroeconomics. In the lecture, major theories of open economy macroeconomics are presented and applied. The topics covered give a sound understanding of international monetary policy, balance of payments adjustment and the determination and behavior of exchange rates. In addition, the lecture will enhance the student’s ability to actively participate in the discussion of current issues of international macroeconomics. Essential parts of International Trade Theory may be included whenever it is necessary for the full understanding of the core topics.
