Inhalte (short description):
Das Modul ist ein Seminar für die beiden Masterstudiengänge Management Information Systems und Wirtschaftsinformatik. Je nach Teilnehmerzahl bearbeiten einzelne Studierende oder Kleingruppen von Studierenden ein Thema zu Fragestellungen im Operations Research. The course is a seminar for the two master's degree programs Management Information Systems and Business Information Systems. Depending on the number of participants, individual students or small student groups work on topics related to issues in the field of operations research.

Inhalte (short description):

Das Modul ist ein Seminar für die beiden Masterstudiengänge Management Information Systems und Wirtschaftsinformatik. Je nach Teilnehmerzahl bearbeiten einzelne Studierende oder Kleingruppen von Studierenden ein Thema zu Fragestellungen im Operations Research.

The course is a seminar for the two master's degree programs Management Information Systems and Business Information Systems. Depending on the number of participants, individual students or small student groups work on topics related to issues in the field of operations research.

Studierende... vertiefen ihre Kenntnisse im Operations Research. Students... broaden their knowledge in operations research.
Fachkompetenz Fertigkeit (practical professional and academic skills):
Studierende... vertiefen ihr Modellierungs- und Methodenwissen im Operations Research, indem sie die wissenschaftliche Literatur zu vorgegebenen Verfahren sichten und systematisch aufbereiten und Implementierungen von Algorithmen vornehmen und diese auf Probleminstanzen anwenden. Sie vertiefen ihre Fähigkeiten, ihre Arbeitsergebnisse zu präsentieren. Students... deepen their knowledge of OR-modelling and methods in operations research by reviewing and systematically preparing the scientific literature on given procedures and by making implementations of algorithms and applying them to problem instances. They expand their ability to present the results of their work.
Personale Kompetenz / Sozial (individual competences / social skills):
Studierende... nutzen das in Operations Research-Modulen erworbene Wissen, um Modelle Lösungsverfahren in die Optimierungslandschaft einzuordnen und hinsichtlich der Abdeckung in der wissenschaftlichen Literatur zu untersuchen. nutzen das in Programmierungsmodulen erworbene Wissen, um Algorithmen zu implementieren. Students... use the knowledge acquired in (other) operations research courses to classify models and solution methods in the optimization landscape and to examine them with respect to their coverage in the scientific literature. use the knowledge acquired in programming courses to implement algorithms.

Studierende... erfassen die Vor- und Nachteile mehrerer Modelle und Verfahren und lernen, diese anhand eines Kriterienkatalogs zu beurteilen und zu vergleichen. Students... grasp the advantages and disadvantages of various models and procedures and learn to evaluate and compare them based on a set of criteria.

Studierende melden sich für das Modul in PAUL an und müssen sich zusätzlich vor Ende der 1. Anmeldephase direkt beim Lehrstuhl bewerben. Bitte senden Sie Ihre Bewerbung, bestehend aus einem kurzen Motivationsschreiben, Angaben zum Semester und einem aktuellen Notenauszug, per E-Mail an SeminarOR@misor.org. Die Auswahl der Teilnehmerinnen erfolgt unmittelbar nach Ende der 1. Anmeldephase (bzw. unmittelbar nach Ende der Revisionsphase für kapazitativ-begrenzte Module) durch den Lehrstuhl.
