Inhalte (short description):

In today's volatile economic conditions, managers of multinational corporations face traditional challenges to set strategy, develop organization, lead people and monitor performance. Additionally, they must deal with fierce competition from the emerging markets of Brazil, Russia, China, and India (the BRIC countries). In no time, they will have to learn to compete with Vietnam, Turkey, Mexico, and Arabian countries. Certainly, manager are also expected in all times, bad and good, to meet quarterly expectation of forever "upward" growing profitability and shareholder values in their global businesses.
Against the backdrop of concurrent political and economical situations, this course not only presents traditional core issues of managing multicultural and multinational corporations, it also helps students recognize the role of corporate governance and sustainability of international management. Additionally, students are presented with examples of how to implement a sustainable global strategy by means of organizational design, cultural sensitivity, leadership development, and e-business approaches.
Given business, cultural and teaching experiences of the two engaging instructors Pei Wang-Nastansky and Ludwig Nastansky in China during the last decade, this course may also bring profound and focused analysis on China, its economical, political, business culture's past, present and future.
