Inhalte (short description):

In this course selected topics from the books "Microeconomic Theory" by Andreu Mas-Colell, Michael D. Whinston and Jerry R. Greene und "Contract Theory" by Patrick Bolton and Mathias Dewatripont shall be discussed.

These include: Competition, markets, cartel and coalition formation, decision theory (w and w/o uncertainty), equilibrium theory as well as mechanism design.

In the lecture part there is a focus on theoretical backgrounds. In the seminar part participants present seminal and recent research papers that match the topics of the lecture.
