Inhalte (short description):
This module builds up on the BA modules ‘International Economics’ and ‘Multinational Firm’. It introduces the subject areas, performed there, on an advanced level and adds new ones. The main study goal is to make the interdependencies of the markets accessible for investments, finances, goods and work, to come up clearly with the chances and also the limits of international economic policy. Are there, and if yes, which, location political options? What should an adequate migration policy look like? How can international economic policy enhance worldwide efficiency and reduce international conflict potential while simultaneously improving international economic relation thereby enhancing global living standards?

This module builds up on the BA modules ‘International Economics’ and ‘Multinational Firm’. It introduces the subject areas, performed there, on an advanced level and adds new ones. The main study goal is to make the interdependencies of the markets accessible for investments, finances, goods and work, to come up clearly with the chances and also the limits of international economic policy. Studierende... apply the gained factual and methodic knowledge on concrete economic questions in the frame of written compositions like seminar and bachelor theses. improve the competence for economically reflective statements to economic questions in the areas dealt with; especially within the context of the globalization debate.

Studierende... use ex ante preparation and ex post processing of lecture material (lecture/tutorial). work on self-dependent development of relevant lecture contents, research. learn economic thinking structures and the thinking in economic relationships. build competences for the application of economic thinking on concrete questions. are capable to hold an audience-oriented presentation of own knowledge. are capable to listen to presentations of others. are capable to criticize, but also to advance the contributions of others and with representatives who guide, e.g. through further questioning. are willing and capable not just to deal with own questions, but also with questions and problems of others.

The module is limited to 30 participants. All information and lectures are available on Panda. Students' term papers will be made available to other participants via Panda prior to the seminar so that the topics can be discussed during the seminar. Teaching language: English.
