Methods of Economic Analyses


Inhalte (short description):

​

This lecture introduces the main concepts and methods to understand and analyze open economy

macroeconomics, international finance and exchange rates. Covered topics include the balance of payments; exchange rate determination; market efficiency and expectations; risk; exchange rate regimes, international financial markets and institutions, exchange rates and asset markets, borrowing and debt.


The Project work includes the development of dynamic macroeconomic models with the help of computer software (MATLAB and Dynare) applied to some current issues in international macroeconomics.
