In today's globally connected business world, management activities are influenced by the dynamics of international markets. The aim of the International Business Module is to help students understand and learn how these international dynamics can be addressed. In the lecture, students engage with theoretical concepts as well as empirical findings to understand the implications of internationality for managerial and entrepreneurial behavior and decisions. In the exercise classes, based on their newly acquired understanding of the international business world, students develop in groups a strategy or action plan for an internationally operating firm, based on a conrete concept or model. The teaching and examination language of the module is English. There will be weekly lectures and exercises throughout the entire semester. Sessions with group presentations will be during the middle and end of the semester. Depending on availability, student groups can choose their presentation dates. The exam takes place after the lecture period. Attendance is recommended in this module, especially for the group work. Groups consist of 5 students. |
