Basic Knowledge in Corporate Finance and Financial Accounting

Inhalte (short description):

Discover the Power of Financial Storytelling. The class Investor Relations is on the intersection of finance, reporting, and communication. Using interesting cases from real firms, this course offers a first behind-the-scenes look at how companies engage with investors, build credibility, and shape market perception through effective investor relations (IR). You'll gain practical insights into how IR professionals act as strategic communicators—bridging the gap between corporate leadership and the investment community. From crafting compelling financial narratives to managing market expectations and regulatory disclosures, you'll learn how clear and transparent communication directly impacts shareholder trust and corporate valuation.

Thereby, the class prepares you well for a career in corporate finance, communication, investment banking, or strategic consulting. Mastering investor relations will give you a powerful edge in understanding how trust, transparency, and storytelling drive financial success. It enables you to speak the language of the market.

To check learning performance, there will be an opportunity to participate in a case study.

The course takes place regularly during the lecture period. A kick-off event in the first week of lectures provides initial insights into the topic. The accompanying exercise starts in the second week of lectures.
