Inhalte (short description):
Since the 1970s, decisive variations in the international business environment are to be observed. Generally, the structure of global interdependence has changed from a trade oriented to a production oriented system. Multinational companies and their foreign direct investment strategies are major vehicles of the globalization process. The activities of multinational enterprises have significantly reshaped the conditions of the international division of labor worldwide. In the Multinational Firm module, students will obtain the goal of absorbing a sound theoretical and empirical academic background making them familiar with the underlying foundations, evolving strategies and fundamental economic framework of international business operations as well as a solid understanding of financial market aspects alongside of the various dimensions of analytical analysis of both internal and external international labor markets.

Inhalte (short description):

Since the 1970s, decisive variations in the international business environment are to be observed. Multinational companies and their foreign direct investment strategies are major vehicles of the globalization process. In the Multinational Firm module, students will obtain the goal of absorbing a sound theoretical and empirical academic background making them familiar with the underlying foundations, evolving strategies and fundamental economic framework of international business operations as well as a solid understanding of financial market aspects alongside of the various dimensions of analytical analysis of both internal and external international labor markets.

Studierende... learn about basic data of globalization processes of multinational businesses, relevant financing and labor market data. know about theory of foreign direct investment, macroeconomic issues like interest parity and parity of exchange, fundamental financing products to safeguard export activities or foreign direct investment.

Studierende... can evaluate hedge instruments. solve problems related to practice concerning multinational businesses. evaluate alternative market entry strategies in foreign markets and normative economic policy aspects.
