Grundzüge der Volkswirtschaftslehre

Inhalte (short description):

​The module covers theories of international finance/international macroeconomics and international trade. In the lecture on international finance, major theories of open economy macroeconomics are presented and applied. The topics covered give a sound understanding of international monetary policy, balance of payments adjustment and the determination and behavior of exchange rates. In addition, the lecture will enhance the student’s ability to actively participate in the discussion of current issues of international macroeconomics. In the lecture on international trade the student will learn theories of international trade and the globalization of the market for goods and services. Traditional as well as modern trade theories will be introduced and discussed. The exercise comprises readings on basic principles in international economics and finance and gives the opportunity for questions related to the lectures
