Inhalte (short description):
The module covers economic and institutional aspects of the process of European Integration. Topics included are the history of European Integration, institutions of the European Union, the European Economy, EU Policies (agriculture, regions, competition, trade, labor market), the Single European Market, fiscal policy and the Stability and Growth Pact, monetary integration and monetary policy in the EMU, financial markets and the Euro, strategies for growth, EU enlargement. In the exercise, the topics covered in the lecture will be further discussed and developed.

The module covers economic and institutional aspects of the process of European Integration. Topics included are the history of European Integration, institutions of the European Union, the European Economy, EU Policies (agriculture, regions, competition, trade, labor market), the Single European Market, fiscal policy and the Stability and Growth Pact, monetary integration and monetary policy in the EMU, financial markets and the Euro, strategies for growth, EU enlargement. In the exercise, the topics covered in the lecture will be further discussed and developed.
