Inhalte (short description):

This course plunges into the core of corporate finance, showing you how companies secure funds and drive shareholder value. You'll master managers' every day business challenges with respect to financing their corporation, including project selection, firm's financial ratios and identifying fraudulent valuations by subordinates. We'll dive into groundbreaking theories on optimal capital structures and demystify the process of launching an IPO—equipping you with the frameworks to make strategic financing decisions.

Your journey begins with a kick-off event in week one. From week two onward, hands-on exercises challenge you to apply valuation models and agency-theory insights to concrete problems, deepening your analytical toolkit. The module culminates in a written examination during the post-lecture assessment period, ensuring you're ready to harness these powerful concepts in the world of high-stakes corporate finance.
