Definition
Die Cobb-Douglas-Funktion ist definiert durch
\begin{equation}
y = A \cdot (x_1^{a_1} \cdot x_2^{a_2})^r \quad a_1>0, a_2>0, a_1 + a_2 = 1
\end{equation}
Durch Normierung bzw. Substitution $y \buildrel \rm def \over =
{y\over A}$ kann erreicht werden, dass gilt
\begin{equation}y = (x_1^{a_1} \cdot x_2^{a_2})^r \end{equation}
\begin{equation} y = x_1^{ra_1} \cdot x_2^{ra_2}\end{equation}
Von dieser Beziehung werden wir im Folgenden ausgehen.
