Ein Polynom ist eine Funktion der Form \begin{equation} f(x)= a_nx^n + a_{n-1}x^{n-1}+ a_x^1 + a_0. \end{equation} n heißt Grad des Polynoms. Wir betrachten im Folgenden insbesondere die Polynome mit dem Grad 2, 3, 4 Gilt $f(x_0)=0$ für $x_0$ so heißt $x_0$ Nullstelle des Polynoms f.
Beispiele
- $f(x)=x^2-7x+3$ ist ein Polynom 2. Grades. Polynome 2. Grades heißen auch Parabel.
- $f(x)=x^3-7x+6$ ist ein Polynom 3. Grades. $x_0=1$ ist eine Nullstelle dieses Polynoms. Es ist nämlich: $f(1)=1^3-7\cdot 1+6 = 0.$
- $f(x)=x^4-7x+6$ ist ein Polynom 4. Grades. TODO: $x_0=1$ ist eine Nullstelle dieses Polynoms. Es ist nämlich: $f(1)=1^3-7\cdot 1+6 = 1.$
