The hierarchy in the “tree” tab in the lower right window is helpful for two things:
- indicating which element is part of another element: for example a character is part of a panel
- reading order – in Western comics, standard panel order is from left to right and from top to bottom
The “tree” tab should always have the correct hierarchy and reading order. You can edit the hierarchy with a simple drag-and-drop of the element you want to move. If there’s more than one possible reading order, choose the one that seems most natural to you.
