„now:“ is an interdisciplinary project of the faculty of arts and humanities at the University of Paderborn, Germany. It is focussed on current media and music culture. At first there will be lectures of representatives of the different departments of the faculty as well as lectures by journalists and media and industry representatives.

Afterwards the students themselves will be working on the idea of "now". At the end of the project there will be a performance in which the students will be presenting their own results in musical projects, spoken word or even video culture groups. Each one of them is able to decide which group to work in and it is intended to create "crossover-effects" between different media and musical genres. It is also planned to release a print publication along with the internet magazine in which all the results could be documented along with the ability to include a DVD with the final performance of the students on it.
