Joseph Margolis is currently Laura H. Carnell Professor of Philosophy at Temple University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). He's recently completed a trio of books on pragmatism and American philosophy in the second half of the 20th century, the third of which, Pragmatism's Advantage, has recently been released (2010) by Stanford University Press. He's presently completing a sequel to the series that will strengthen the sense in which pragmatism is rightly placed within the Eurocentric tradition that draws on the work of Kant and Hegel.
