Kai-Michael Hingst

Kai-Michael Hingst graduated in law as well as in philosophy from Hamburg University. He is a lecturer for philosophy at Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, and a Hamburg based partner of White & Case LLP, an international law firm, having previously worked in Brussels, New York City and London. Kai-Michael Hingst has published books on Perspektivismus und Pragmatismus. Ein Vergleich auf der Grundlage der Wahrheitsbegriffe von Nietzsche and James (1998, PhD thesis in philosophy) and Die societas leonina in der europäischen Privatrechtsgeschichte (2003, PhD thesis in law) and co-edited Pragmata. Festschrift für Klaus Oehler zum 80. Geburtstag, 2008. He has written articles on William James, Nietzsche and O. W. Holmes as well as on various legal topics.
